Got me thinking quite a bit, I know that the closest I get to anything really mathsy at the moment is helping my sister with Junior Cert maths, but a lot of what he says about bringing the subject to life is very true - and some of what he says about how children work at problems I have seen when trying to help out my sister. All in all, a rather interesting read :)

I have no idea why, but I've been having an absolutely insane craving for steak sandwiches today. So much so that I'm going to buy baguettes, steak, BBQ sauce and cheese on my way home.

The weird part is that normally I don't go mad for steak...

Work trip out to Leixlip today - and I had someone who had all the social skills of Daragh latch on to me for the day. He decided to talk about his Harry Potter and Linux obsessions all the way over on the bus, then started getting stupidly excited over insignificant things out there. Then decided to sit beside me at lunch and get cheesy pasta stuck in his beard.

Argh.

So after coughing like a banshee for several days, and possibly causing the death of a small forest in terms of tissues, I finally went to the doctor today to get things checked out. And apparently I've got both a fairly generic viral throat infection, and a touch of bacterial tonsillitis.

So now, I'm on antibiotics and I've been told to take antibiotics and lemsip where I can. And I've a sicknote for 2 days off work - which means I'm off for the weekend now.

My mum seems to think I have developed a sudden obsession with the colour pink. Not 1, but *3* of my presents were at least half pink.

Maybe in my absence she thinks I've warped into my sister?

I'm home, I have Guitar Hero 3, and I finally bought Wiimote batteries.

Can't play though... all the TVs in my house are perma-occupied, and the TV that's been left in this room doesn't have a scart socket... WTF

2 Years ago: Was in my second 2nd year, had already been 2 years working for Game at this stage. Spent most of the year in the 4th year lab - this was the year of COCKFAGGERY! Mostly listening to Nightwish and Sonata Arctica, and playing lots of Nintendo games.
1 Year ago: Was in 3rd year, around this time I took my first break from WoW. Probably should have studied a lot more than I did. Mostly listening to Blind Guardian, Sonata Arctica and Tool.
0 years ago: Living in Lucan now, working a shit job on a year out between 3rd and 4th year, playing a lot of games and occasionally cooking tasty food. Have been single for way too long though, but strangely enough I'm more comfortable in myself than I have been in a long time. Mostly listening to Apocalyptica, Ani diFranco, Blind Guardian, Sleater-Kinney, Ensiferum, Terasbetoni.
